Pet Policy

At some properties we allow pets, while at others we do not allow pets. To see if pets are allowed at the property you are looking at, read the specific property description on our website at https://www.doorby.com/rentals

If pets are allowed at your property, you will need to pay the refundable pet deposit and monthly pet rent.
The pet deposit is $500, plus $150 per additional pet.
The pet rent is $25 per month, per pet.

Let's use 3 dogs as an example. You will pay an $800 ($500 + $150 x 2) pet deposit, plus $75 ($25 x 3) per month in pet rent. These numbers are in addition to the regular security deposit and rent amounts.

In general, we don't allow the following dog breeds:
Pit Bull Terrier (includes Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier)
Rottweiler
Doberman Pinscher
German Shepherd
Alaskan Malamute
Siberian Husky
Chow Chow
Wolf Hybrid or wolf-dog mixes
Mastiff breeds (including Bullmastiff, English Mastiff)
Boxer
Akita
Presa Canario
Cane Corso

Service Animals

Service animals are permitted. We do not charge pet rent or a pet deposit for service animals. To be classified as a service animal, you will need to answer the following questions:
Is the animal required because of a disability?
What work or task has the animal been trained to perform?

Performing “work or tasks” means that the dog is trained to take a specific action when needed to assist the person with a disability. Emotional support, comfort, well-being, and companionship are not a specific work or task for purposes of analysis under the ADA.

If the disability and the disability-related need for the animal are not apparent, the request needs to be supported by reliable disability-related information.

Misrepresentation of a service animal or support animal is a Class B misdemeanor.
